The idea behind this project is just quick, simple visual improvements to the app that are focused on general conventions and good overall design practices. As a result, the primary user tests performed on these improvements are not the actual user base but people similar. Internal employees and none users are the primary testers for visual validation.
There are a couple of reasons for this:
1. I did not have access to our users for testing by company approval but still wanted to show a project with some form of validation.
2. These specific visual changes are things hard to validate necessary for the company to approve a budget for development, especially without a real user base to test.
The process of improvement is a step-by-step one. I will show a before and after. This project is designed to be a step by step change and is broken up by one visual change at a time; for instance, the first step was a menu redesign, the next step was an update to the colors, you will notice that any past changes will still be applied when you view the next step. You should expect to see the progression through each step.
Lastly, there is no specific reason for the order in the problems or visual changes being fixed. They are just general visual problems and inconsistencies that I wanted to improve on my own time. It is all for fun.
Enjoy,
Kellen Freeman
